The Laumeister Art Center presents the Vermont Pastel Society Juried Show.
Forty pastel paintings were selected by jurors Peter Seltzer and Doug Dawson from the many images submitted. Award winning artist Christine Labich will bring her discerning eye to the venue as the exhibition’s judge, selecting winners in the following categories: Best in Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod Award and the Mallory Lake Memorial Prize. An opening reception with the awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 29th from 2-4pm. The exhibit will run from September 29th – November 17th.
The exhibit showcases the wide range of work from several of the 100+ society member artists. The Vermont Pastel Society was established by a group of artists in 1999 to build and strengthen connections among pastel painters, to foster their artistic development, and to provide links to resources. To help reach those goals, the VPS sponsors an annual juried exhibition for its member artists.
